On Saturday 21st June between 12.00 pm and 5.00 pm Horley will be celebrating this year’s theme ‘Myths & Legends at the Recreation Ground. The arena events will feature displays by one of the World’s Strongest Men, and The Black Eagles, a spectacular acrobatic dance group.
The usual favourites such as Punch and Judy, Tom’s talking Reptiles, Animatronics, skate park coaches will be there. Beach’s Fun Fair will be open all weekend.
The Carnival Parade forms up in the Victoria Road car park where the carnival floats will be judged by the Mayor of Reigate & Banstead and the Horley Town Mayor before the parade sets off from car park at 12.30 pm. It will travel along the same route as previous years, turning into Massetts Road, Russells Crescent, then north up Victoria Road, and turning right into the A23 Brighton Road and left into the Recreation Ground. One of the bands taking part in the parade will be performing in the centre of the town.
We hope that you will come along and watch the parade, join in the entertainment in the Arena and visit the stalls – the usual selection of community and commercial stalls, as well as many new ones that attend, along with a range of food & drink outlets.
There will be a prize for the stall which best reflects the theme of the carnival. The closing date for booking stalls is 24th May 2025. Stalls can be booked by contacting stalls@horleycarnival.co.uk
This will be the thirteenth year since the Horley Carnival once again became an annual event and continues to be free to enter thanks to our generous sponsors Gatwick Airport Ltd and Surrey County Council through councillor Andy Lynch, together with the ongoing support of many local companies. Particular thanks go to our local farmers, whose support for the Parade make it such a spectacle, our local Town and Borough Councils, and the small group of volunteers and community groups who work hard during the year to ensure a successful event.
